Students shine on results day
Congratulations to our incredible Year 13 students, whose hard work and determination has been rewarded with some exceptional A-level and Level 3 results.
The Castle Rock School Sixth Form is celebrating a third consecutive year of strong post-16 outcomes, with students achieving an impressive average grade of B across A Level and vocational Level 3 qualifications.
The results reflect the dedication, resilience and ambition of students, supported every step of the way by committed staff, families and the wider school community.
Highlighting the significant progress at our sixth form, the percentage of all entries achieving grades A* - A and A* - B across both A-level and Level 3 qualifications have both doubled, rising to 26.2% and 61.1% respectively.
Vocational qualifications were a particular highlight this year, underscoring our commitment to ensuring students can excel via multiple pathways. In CTEC Sport, for example, every student achieved a Distinction*, the highest grade possible. Equally as impressive were our outcomes in BTEC Creative Digital Media Production, where all students secured either a Distinction or Distinction*.
Traditional A Level subjects also performed strongly, with students attaining A* grades across a range of disciplines, including Mathematics, Business, English Literature and Sociology.
Many students are now preparing to continue their educational journey, including Cole, who is going on to study Mathematical and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Leicester, Hayden, who is progressing on to the University of Sheffield to study Psychology and Evie, who has secured a place at Durham University to study Politics and Philosophy.
